Recently, I checked the website for GETMYKIT.ca, Emergency preparedness kits and was very pleased to note the additional items included which I had never had in previous emergency kits; e.g. a 50 hour candle, and in the Vehicle kit, a hammer to smash a window with a 'knife' to cut off a seat belt. Oak Bay Copy has these kits on Fall Sale sale right now, for a 20% discount, which is very generous. I have purchased three, two of them vehicle kits, one of which will be a Christmas gift. Oak Bay Copy also carries the hammer/knife combination separately , which I bought to add to the kit of a friend. Being able to support a local business, not add to the environmental 'waste' of shipping materials and enjoy substantial savings, was the incentive for me to update and upgrade my emergency preparedness and those of my family.
