I get the same thing delivered every 2 weeks. I go in with my credit card and pay for my package every time. Usually costs about 150 to 200 dollars. I go out of town and come back to my package is waiting here at hiway variety. So I go in today to get the same package I get every two weeks with the same credit card I use to pay with every 2 weeks and they denied me and said they would never allow me to pay with my credit card... bad customer service to tell your customer they are wrong especially when I showed them my transactions from the last few visits. Never have they ever denied me paying with my credit card at any post office location. Ever. Terrible customer service. Now they tell me I have to wait till next week for them to ship it to a different location and that I'm not to have my packages sent there anymore...

Just stopping into town for the day and went to this place to buy tackle, bait and find out some great fishing lakes for ice fishing near by. Harry was very helpful and informative with some great fishing spots and his store also carries alot of fishing products, tackle and bait, popular brands and local brands. A one stop shop for fishing gear and bait Summer or ice fishing. Thanks Guys

Purchased worms which were frozen and dead. Called store and spoke to owner who told me they would be replaced them as they had a whole bunch with same issue. As I live in Blind River I asked a friend who was going to SSM to pick them up. Employee told my friend he had no knowledge about this and to come back when owner was there. Today I was able to finally able to stop in to get my worms. Person who identified himself as the owner refused to honour his word that my 2 boxes of worms would be replaced. He remembered the event but implied that myself or my friend were liars. Owner’s word is worth nothing. He has no honour and insulting a customer and his friend for a measly 20 dollars isn’t worthy of anyone’s patronage.

What a great place for outfitting!!! Huge selection of fishing gear, artificial bait, live bait, fireworks, supplies etc. Truly a one stop shop from food to bait to gear. They are open early at 6am even on Sundays. The best part was they sell every little piece imaginable to make your own custom lures and fishing rigs. I saw things I haven't even seen available at bass pro or other equivalent stores. Prices were fair and they also had a huge clearance area where I was able to stock up on a lot of the basics. Great staff and very friendly would definitely recommend checking this place out!!!!

One of the only stores in the soo starting to focus more on the trophy pike/musky fishing are zone has to offer! As of December 2021 they keep the lot of your essential rapala's. Such as shadow rap 16's, and their smaller 4 inch cousins. They also carry the rapala otus and peto which are killer for big northerns! If you want to grab something quick before heading out definitely stop in and see if they have any musky solutions baits or suick lures maybe even a new rapala otus for slow trolling in the shallows this spring! Everywhere else sells dinky baits, nothing big enough for true game fish but you're sure to find it here at hwy variety! Cant recommended them enough, always drag my feet on the way out of the post office there to see if something catches my eye.
