Expecting a large crate to be delivered. Based on their tracking I had to return from vacation for a day to receive it. It didn't arrive and I was called later in the day to hear it would be the next day. Despite us saying no less than 5 times in previous calls that *we don't have a fork lift* and they will need a truck with a rear lift, on delivery day they called again to ask if we have a fork lift. Then he had to call back. The guy was friendly and polite but this experience says to me that they have some serious business process issues. Great employees maybe but they are not equipped to be successful. As the delivery is a critical part of the customer journey, I strongly consider that any company consider this review of caution before choosing Day & Ross Freight to deliver to your customers. I just bumped my review from one store to three simply because the front lines delivery guys who came to my house were very positive and did an excellent job in getting the crate into my garage. If only these great employees had the processes to make them better support them! The delivery guys said they had nothing on file telling them that I didn't have a forklift. So I take off two stars because they're tracking system said it was coming yesterday and because I grew bored of telling them that we don't have a forklift. The delivery guys alone do deserve five stars. It's the rest of the team that let them down.

I ordered a table and chairs from Rona on May 28. On June 9, Day and Ross phoned me to arrange delivery on the 11th. They said they were leaving the table and chairs outside of my apartment building. I told them that they would have to bring it up to my suite because there would be no way for me to bring it up myself. The woman told me that Rona had strict instructions to leave at curbside. She said that if I wanted it delivered to my door, it would cost extra and I would have to arrange it through Rona. I then phoned Rona and they said that this was not true. As we were speaking on the phone we looked at the tracking and saw that Day and Ross were returning the table to Rona . I never asked them to do this. I told the man at Rona to just leave it as it was because I didn’t want to deal with this courier. I didn’t trust that they wouldn’t just leave it outside on the sidewalk. The man at Rona told me that the table should be returned in 3 to 4 days. The tracking was scanned on June 13 and then nothing. I had to launch an investigation through Rona and it was only in early July that Day and Ross updated tracking to show that the table was delivered back to Rona on June 24. This of course delayed the refund for a table I never even laid eyes on. They made this entire experience awful and I will never order from Rona again because they use this courier and products go missing for long period of time.

They keep on hiring employees and then ask them to not come after a month or so without giving any proper notice. Weird thing is one day their supervisor will appreciate your work and next day they will ask you to not come. Happened with my husband and many of his other friends. If you Email General manager or anyone you won’t get any response. Guys DONOT work for this company.

I booked my shipment through Ship Canada and something went wrong. Day and Ross didn't service my area of Hope BC, so they subcontracted the pick up to someone else. After 4 days of waiting, it was never picked up and I was forced to rent a U-Haul and drop it off in Surrey at the depot myself. My shipment left from BC 4 days late, but actually made it to Nova Scotia 4 days early, go figure. My biggest complaint is that no one from Day and Ross communicated with Ship Canada what the issue was and how to resolve picking up my shipment in Hope.

Their drivers have no respect for anyone on the road. I almost just got run over by one of their trucks who ran a red light while I was crossing the street. They had more than enough time to stop at the red light before turning, but they chose to speed off and turn on the red light when other cars were going through and myself and others were crossing the street with the right of way. If you value your safety, and those of others with your delivery, DO NOT use this company.
