Visited this location today (aug 22nd) to mail an larger envelope within BC., the person at the counter measured the envelope without placing it into the Template to determine the cost factor and came up with a price of $19.54 which didn't sound correct to me so I declined to mail it from that outlet, instead I travelled to another Canada Post location a few km's away in Comox and the nice lady there placed the letter into the Template and it passed the template test and determined that it was in fact just a envelope not a parcel, the postage was $3.35 !! I went back to the original CP Outlet and confronted that person, he gave me a complaint Form to fill out which I did and he asked me to give him said Form which didn't seem like the right protocol, he can read the complaint against him whether he passed it onto the Supervisor or discarded it who knows. I also realize that it's not fair to denigrate the entire staff from that CP Outlet because of one individual because I've had good service in the past there but that's the experience I had there today.

This place is the worst. When sending an envelope the total came to over $7. Later at another Canada post I sent a heavier envelope to the exact same address and it came to $3.28. The employee here didn't bother to think about sending it as an oversized envelope (which the 2nd CP location did) but sent it as a package instead. But its understandable. He and another coworker were talking about hockey with only a brief pause when I went up to the counter. I guess when you're busy and the customer is only an interruption you dont have to worry about providing good service. I wish I still had the receipt but I don't. I guess I assumed that when you go to a Canada Post counter they will be knowledgeable about postal services. Lesson learned

5 Star Rating - I telephoned this outlet today and a lovely and friendly Canada Post employee assisted me in locating my parcel at a different postal outlet. Thank you very much.
