ZERO STARS. YES DHL IS THAT BAD! Two items shipped from UK to Canada in June 2022. Paid the duty promptly but items never shipped to my home. It's now October 2022 and I still don't have my items. Months of telephone tag, hours on hold only to be disconnected, many emails to 'Customer Care' supervisor who cancelled my tracking because she said my shipment was brokered into wrong port. I had to contact my broker to correct mistake. DHL WAS THE BROKER! Did many online chats, only to be given the runaround. Often disconnected without any reason that they would not ship my order. It was sitting in a warehouse in Hamilton Ontario for four months. Months of road blocks, running in circles, and lies. Finally had to cancel order and ship back to UK to be re shipped to Canada by another company. Thank goodness the supplier of the merchandise I ordered was good to work with. I don't know how DHL is still in business. Horrendous service. Use at your peril. No wait....don't use at all!

The DHL system (in Canada at least) simply DOES NOT WORK. In our experience, promised deliveries do not appear(we waste entire days waiting to provide signature); it’s impossible to talk to anyone or track a delivery; their rescheduling system does not work. We have driven miles to associated offices only to find the parcel was not there. Not impressed.

horrible customer service, no attempt to deliver my package was made, i was not emailed about the order or contacted about needing to pick it up. the FIRST notification i got from them about my order was that they were going to destroy it because i never picked it up?!? I WAS NEVER TOLD YOU GUYS EVEN HAD IT I AM SO UPSET!! and when i went to the store they told me it wasn’t even in my city?!? Trying to call the customer service line is a nightmare, the online service doesn’t work, and none of the managers pick up their phones. we had to wait in line in the heat for way too long. i have never been so disappointed or upset with a business like this in my life. i try so hard to be patient and understanding but this is ridiculous. they said they couldn’t deliver it because of a 1 dollar fee? you guys are destroying my 150 dollar package over a 1 dollar fee i was NOT aware of???

All the one stars lead to the same thing im having trouble with. No attempt at telling me I had customs to pay. Literally every other service provider will leave a note or email. Can't seem to talk to one person who knows whats going on over customer help. Sent me in loops. No option to self declare when it is in their hand. Its 2022 guys. You can fix all of these things but don't so heres a review ^^^

Cannot contact their office directly and they will not delivered signing packages to a person's work place and, since they are barely ever open and never on weekends, it is impossible to receive crucial and important documents. Also, completely useless to talk to them. Negative 5 stars.

Was never contact for my delivery. Had to make contact with DHL myself. They said my parcel was waiting on customs fee. Called customs explained parcel (sent as gift) and listed below $60 from my sister to me. They laughed and said DHL does this but it is not a customs fee. They charged a brokerage fee to clear customs. I said I could do that, please send forms. They sent me what I needed and I went to Canada Border Services to clear. I gave forms the next day to DHL but my parcel was sent back anyway. If I only knew beforehand that DHL did this, I would have never suggested she use them. Terrible business model. Terrible customer service. Wish I could post no stars.

DHL reports that they “attempted delivery” but they definitely did not and weeks later, well past Christmas, the package has still not arrived. Why would they update as “attempted delivery” when they know that people have cameras that show any “attempted deliveries”. I still await news of where my package is. I get other packages every week, but need to wait weeks, or perhaps forever, for packages received by DHL Victoria, but not delivered. I might understand if they have a back log or staffing issues, but if that is the case, they should report that on the delivery status page.

As with the hundred other people who've not only given a low mark, but rather gave a 1 star, and most of whom wished there was a zero option, I am of the same feeling. They say they attempt delivery, but as with so many other reviews, they cannot be attempting delivery unless that means just pulling up to the home and waiting outside or just going to the door and waiting for someone to open it. They said they attempted delivery yesterday, but my phone did not ring, nor is there a missed call. They also left no card. Then they said today they delivered, but the time they sent the message that said they missed us, I had had my phone in my hand for the previous 30 minutes, and in my pocket with the volume high for the few hours before that. As so many others complain about this, it's obvious that they are not attempting delivery, yet claim that they are. And with this many reviews, and they haven't responded to all these claims, they don't seem to care a lick about the customer. Also when I get delivery from them, they charge an arbitrary fee for customs, in case they're charged when they bring it in. But customs does not always charge anything, and don't always charge this amount, so they're just making people pay on top of their standard delivery. This extra fee is not charged by UPS, FEDEX, or the USPS, when they ship to Canada. Another bad thing. Google, if you can't give someone zero stars, why not let us give .5?

I always cringe when I see DHL is shipping my package. I ordered a product from the UK and they wanted $35 on a $135 product for customs, duties and service fee... I did the self declare option and didn't pay anywhere near this amount. DHL overchargers for international shipment of products. Do self declare to reduce fees.

Not sure what else to say about the service here other than absolutely terrible. They put the completely wrong address for my package...sending it to the other side of the country. Had I not checked on the tracking info out of curiosity I would have never received my package and been out over 200$. No accountability when I called and overall disappointing experience. If you can avoid I would recommend.

I would have rated 0 stars if that was possible, I did not pay 100$ for express shipping for my item to not arrive on time, not be called upon delivery, and for my delivery to be pushed back even further because of laziness and incompetence. Absolutely the WORST customer service. I was lied to by at least three representatives. My packages were never put on a truck yet the driver claimed he couldn't find my address even though they have delivered to me many times before. Their online chat shuts down at 4:00 and the reps on it just lie and give you false promises. I cannot believe how bad the service is and looking at other reviews I am certainly not alone I will be trying to get my shipping fees back and imagine that I will waste another day on the phone.
