Purolator, St. John's, NL

The people writing these reviews are almost exclusively commenting on Purolator’s overall service. This isn’t the place to do that - go to the BBB, or write a review on a blog. This is about the specific location in question here. The staff here are very friendly. The facility is almost right off of the highway, and easy to find/access. I would recommend avoiding it during rush hour. Try to leverage their online tools and don’t do what I did - going to pick up my package before I got the confirmation text.

The woman at the front desk was nice enough and everything, but there’s clearly something wrong with the tracking system. I went in to ask if she could help me locate my package (any better than I could myself online) since I was waiting for 10 days for something coming from Ontario and I needed it for a trip I am going on in 2 days. She told me “whatever company you ordered from didn’t even give it to our company because there’s nothing saying we have received it”. So since I needed these items for my trip, I went shopping to replace them (as best as I could) only for my package to show up today after this woman telling me there was NO way I’d get my package. Annoying, but whatever! Lol

I was left a phone message saying that they cannot locate my home address because apparently there are 3 other similar homes in the area. I was given a 1-888 phone number to call to rectify the location of my home. I contacted the number several times but waited for over 20 minutes still no answer. Tried calling several times waited for over 20 minutes still no answer. Gave up trying to call. I ended up going to their location in St. John's to pick up my item. I spent money to have this item delivered to my door and I ended up picking it up on my own. Other delivery services have no problem delivering items to my home, I guess purolator employees just don't have the time to actually deliver the items to paying customers.

After taking 12 days to pick up the package after the shipping label was created it took another 6 days to get to my house! I was not at home so I had to pick it up at the depot, but their posted hours (both on the website and the door) were not accurate and I therefore had to make a second trip to get my package. The only thing that is preventing me from giving 1 star is the staff at the depot were friendly.

Got a call today from them they won’t deliver the package the accepted and want me to drive an hour to pick up in St. John’s. UPS everyone else delivers to Colinet but not these guys. Thanks for nothing gotta pay shipping twice as they are two lazy to do the one thing they are supposed to do deliver packages!
