Several months ago, Intelcom delivered my package to a house several blocks away and, luckily, the resident dropped it off later on. Yesterday, I received a confirmation email stating a new package had been delivered. This package belonged to someone else (also several blocks away), and I've had to return it to them myself as Intelcom never came to pick it up, as they said they would, after I reported it. The woman whose package I received said she had also received the wrong package. My package had ended up being delivered to someone who, luckily, agreed to meet up with me to hand it off late last night. He also had told me his package was sent to someone else. I'm not sure how one delivery driver can make this many mistakes on one trip, unless it was intentional. Update (two days later): no one came to pick up my package that day (as Intelcom confirmed they would when I called 10 minutes after receiving the wrong package), so I called them today to ask why. I was told "as it has been 24 hours since the wrong package was delivered, our investigation has closed. We would advise you to contact the company you purchased from and request a refund for the item you didn't receive. Please consider the incorrect package you received as our gift to you." Opening someone else's mail intentionally is a federal offence, and I was almost too shocked to reply. I can't imagine how much money they've forced Dynamite/Garage/The Bay/etc. to refund due to their own incorrect deliveries.
